February 3rd – March 24th, 2026

It’s not easy being human.
Uncertainty. Overwhelm. Loss. Disappointment. Anxiety. Struggle. Add to these inevitable challenges the mounting crises of our time, and it’s no wonder many of us feel like we’re barely hanging on.
As difficult as life can be at times, we tend to make it harder through our default reactivity. We spend most of our day lost in thought, constrained by limited views, and estranged from our present moment embodied experience, letting unconscious habit patterns run the show.
And yet, every moment is an opportunity to wake up to the infinite potential of our heart and mind and to cultivate a more loving, joyful, and liberating relationship with life.
About This Course
Mindful awareness is a capacity that we can all cultivate to become more present in our lives, creating space for what’s arising in our moment-to-moment experience free from the usual tendency to control, avoid, or push away. From that space, we can touch into a deeper sense of well-being and reclaim our ability to wisely and compassionately respond to life, rather than habitually react to it in ways that ultimately do not serve ourselves, others, or our world.
In this 8-week course, you’ll establish a sustainable daily meditation practice that actually sticks and develop your capacity to:
- Settle the mind and body and regulate your nervous system
- Navigate difficult thoughts and emotions with less reactivity
- Recognize unconscious thought patterns and habits that may be limiting your confidence and well-being
- Relate to yourself and others with greater compassion and curiosity
- Find greater joy and connection in the “ordinary” moments of life
- Maintain more control over your attention
- Develop resilience, equanimity, and intentionality in the face of challenging circumstances
This course is offered from a Buddhist context, where mindfulness is framed not only as a practice for reducing individual suffering, but as a way of life committed to the liberation of all beings. Emphasis will be placed on mindfulness as an important and necessary capacity for ethical action and broader social transformation.

Kind Words
“Taking this course has had a meaningful, lasting impact on how I move through my day-to-day. Through the concepts, tools, and guided practice, I’ve been able to cultivate a deeper sense of calm and presence. I now find myself savoring the beauty in ordinary moments — especially with my little kids — and I feel more connected to my inner world. Alex is a fantastic teacher. His curriculum is thoughtfully designed, layering ideas and practices in a way that builds steadily over time. He has a real gift for making complex ideas feel clear and accessible. This course has been one of the best investments I’ve made in my mental health, and I recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone who feels called to explore!” – Tatiana P., Consultant
“As someone who believed meditation could be beneficial but had struggled to make it a consistent part of my daily routine, Alex’s class was transformative. It created a much deeper understanding of what meditation can truly mean, which unlocked the barriers that had previously held back my practice. But the unexpected discoveries were much more profound. Through different practices, I identified thought patterns and habits I’d been loosely aware of going into the class, but came out understanding how these behaviors were present throughout my life, often negatively impacting my lived experience and self-esteem. The simple act of recognizing and staying curious about these thoughts led to profound realizations and shifts in how I think and act. I am a better, more confident, and happier person than I was before entering the class. The tools Alex shared continue to benefit me and the world I interact with. I can’t speak highly enough of this course. No matter your experience with meditation, therapy, or other mindfulness practices, I believe everyone would benefit from sitting with Alex.” – Benjamin B., Impact & Sustainability
“Alex’s course was so deeply refreshing. It was just what I needed – not only as a tune up for my meditation practice (I hadn’t practiced in a few years) but also as a way back into being with myself in a deeper way. It really helped me remember how to slow down, and it pushed me out of my comfort zone in a really encouraging, gentle way. I still listen to his guided meditations as a means to calm myself down and get back in my body 🙂 Alex also has a knack for explaining Buddhism and meditation in a way that really made sense to me and the rest of the group. Un-intimidating yet passionate. I so highly recommend taking his class – whether you’re a seasoned mediator or just looking to get started. Alex is wise and kind and patient and makes you feel right at home.” – Katie P., Musician
“This course helped me rediscover my dormant creativity and appreciation for beauty in the mundane. Alex’s approach balances intellectual depth with emotional insight while offering practical tools for daily life—all of which helped me create the scaffolding for a meditation practice I could actually maintain. I entered the course intending to deepen my connection to fatherhood and exited feeling more balanced, aware, and regulated as a parent. Alex teaches with warmth and wisdom. His guidance feels grounded and accessible—I truly cannot recommend this course enough!” – Ben P., Software Sales

His way of guiding the group felt both calming and approachable, offering tools to settle our nervous systems, approach life with curiosity, and be more present with others. What stood out most was the genuine sense of community he cultivated–each week felt like something to look forward to, and the connections we built continue to resonate well beyond the course.” – Jeremy R., Physician

“I’m so grateful I took Embodying Awareness with Alex. This course gave me tools to handle difficult situations and emotions with curiosity rather than judgment or overwhelm — ultimately giving me greater peace in the midst of life’s challenges and compassion towards myself. The best gift! Alex is thoughtful, wise, kind, and clear, and his example alone makes him such an effective teacher; I could always connect our lessons to how he speaks, listens, and engages with the class, which made concepts that may have otherwise felt abstract to me much more tangible. “I joined Alex’s mindfulness course at a time when I was losing touch with what truly mattered, caught in cycles of stress and anxiety. Through Alex’s thoughtful guidance and unwavering support, I finally found a place for mindfulness in my life—something I had struggled to do on my own. The course not only helped me start and grow my practice, but also transformed how I understand myself and my relationship with the world around me. It has been a profound gift—one that helps me stay centered, grounded, and connected to a sense of purpose. I will always be grateful to Alex and this program for setting me on this path.” – Ben F., Real Estate Innovation & Housing Design
“I loved Alex’s 8-Week Intro to Mindfulness course. I had zero experience with mindfulness or meditation, and it gave me a clear sense of what it actually is, and isn’t, while guiding us through practices in such a welcoming, supportive way. Alex made it possible for me to explore my mind in ways I never had before.
The course also helped me become more aware of my emotions, my environment, and how I show up for myself and others. I’ve learned to welcome all parts of myself, and everyone’s different life experience, with more space and compassion.” – Wendy S.
